Memphis Grizzlies: 4 players to watch in rematch with Portland
By Dennis Dow
No. 3: CJ McCollum
McCollum absolutely killed the Grizzlies in their last meeting. He put up 36 points and was unstoppable. He shot 14-of-26 from the field with four 3-pointers. He was dominant scoring the ball. Although the Grizzlies weren’t able to stop him, they won the game.

It’s absolutely vital that the Grizzlies force CJ McCollum off of the 3-point line and force him to the basket. He struggles within ten feet of the basket finishing shots at the rim only 56 percent of the time and shooting 28 percent on shots from three to 10 feet from the basket.
If McCollum is able to get going from the perimeter, the Grizzlies could be in for a long night. McCollum is shooting over 50 percent from the 3-point line, and you would much rather see him shooting a floater in the lane than an off-the-bounce 3-pointer.
