Memphis Grizzlies: Where should the blame fall?
The Memphis Grizzlies are experiencing a chaotic sequence of events. With an nine-game losing streak and a coach firing, where does the blame fall?
The Memphis Grizzlies are in the midst of a crazy stretch that only the league’s bottom-dwellers (Phoenix, Chicago and Sacramento) or the Cavaliers have experienced recently.
As they’ve lost nine straight games — not to mention a seven-game home losing streak — it’s hard to pinpoint blame. To make things “easier” though, the Grizzlies fired Head Coach Dave Fizdale.
It was a move that certainly shocked the NBA world and the entire city of Memphis. No one really knows whether it was a bonehead impulse decision or the absolute right call.
While Fizdale was the scapegoat, where should the blame really fall? Is it on Marc Gasol? Is it on general manager Chris Wallace? Or is this Robert Pera’s fault? Is Fizdale the real scapegoat?
