The Memphis Grizzlies suffered their 15th loss in 16 games as the Miami Heat annihilated them at home, 107-82. What lies ahead going forward?

Well, there really isn’t much to say about the Memphis Grizzlies 25-point loss to the Heat.

In fact, it was quite simple. The Heat exposed the Grizzlies’ defense with a beautiful dribble-drive offense as they drilled 14 of their 27 3-point attempts. Memphis’ three best players — Marc Gasol, Tyreke Evans and Chandler Parsons — all struggled, basically a recipe for a loss. On defense, Bam Adebayo’s athleticism was too much for Gasol to handle. The only bright spot from this game was Andrew Harrison, who scored a season-high 16 points. Otherwise, the offense was absolutely stagnant.

It was just another tale in the Grizzlies’ terrible twenty-game stretch.

In fact, it was quite embarrassing to get beat that badly by a middle-of-the-road team at home. If the Brooklyn Nets loss was a defining loss for Dave Fizdale’s job, this game against the Heat should force some decisions at hand.

It’ll all be hard with the ownership situation, but the slump looks like a roster problem — which

should put Chris Wallace’s job in jeopardy. Over the course of this slump, Marc Gasol just hasn’t been up to standards in terms of play and leadership. When will you finally decide it’s time to move on?

It’s hard to pinpoint the problem, but it doesn’t look like a coaching issue. Maybe things will get better once Mike Conley returns. It could just be a slump. Is it on Marc Gasol? Is it a roster issue? No one really knows, and that’s the frustrating part.

Hopefully, they can turn it around soon, but losses like last night are painful to watch.
