Duke University. Wendell Carter. 9. player. 66. Wendell Carter could serve as the new age sixth man center off the bench. He’s an old school big man who does most of his damage inside. However, he has shown that he has a nice outside shot in small samples — 46.7 percent (7-15).

In addition, he has the chops to be a decent rim protector as he’s averaging 1.8 blocks a game on an elite Duke team. Whether or not that translates to the NBA is up for debate as he’s slightly undersized at center — 6’10” with a 7’3″ wingspan.

The Suns need a center, and with Ayton and Bamba off the board, he’s the best available center. He’d be a great fit off the bench or in the starting lineup alongside Devin Booker.

Likely #1 pick: Trae Young (new-age Splash Bros)
. C
