The Memphis Grizzlies will battle the Los Angeles Lakers on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. What are some keys to a Grizzlies victory?

The Memphis Grizzlies will go toe-to-toe with the Los Angeles Lakers as Lonzo Ball and company make their first trip to Beale Street this year. The annual Martin Luther King game is surely one of the best games of the year as select athletes are rewarded for their activism and their work in the community. The Grizzlies are also debuting their ‘City’ uniforms which are designed after the “I Am a Man” movement:

If you’re a big advocate for the tank, this is an important game for you. The Grizzlies currently have the fourth-highest lottery odds. Meanwhile, the Lakers are a game-and-a-half ahead of the Grizzlies and hold the sixth-highest lottery odds. However, they have no incentive for a tank as the pick goes to Boston if it falls 2-5 or to Philadelphia if it falls first or in the 6-30 range.

While that’s a storyline for sure, winning is cool too.

The Lakers are currently riding a four-game winning streak into this content — ironically all after Lonzo Ball returned from injury. The Grizzlies are 4-6 in their last 10 games, and they’re looking to bounce back from a 79-point outing Friday night.

What must the Grizzlies do to overtake the Los Angeles Lakers? Could they snap the Lakers’ winning streak?
