A reunion like no other honored Zach Randolph, but the Memphis Grizzlies stay the course and pick up their third straight win.
The Memphis Grizzlies picked up their third consecutive victory over the Sacramento Kings. It was an emotional night as Zach Randolph made his return to Memphis. The applause was thunderous, and the tribute video was phenomenal.
However, winning is the objective, and the Grizzlies did so in this one. How did each player pan out?
Player Grades
D. Brooks (A+): I watched pregame as Sacramento Kings forward Vince Carter and Grizzlies rookie Dillon Brooks had a long talk. It seemed to pay off for the rookie who went 8-15 and scored a career-high 22 points . Brooks found his spots, and more importantly found the ball.
T. Evans (B+): Evans had a quiet night for a “walking bucket.” Evans got his usual bucket when needed, and created for his teammates. Very nice floor game for Evans tonight, he finished with a quiet 14 points in 27 minutes of play.
B. McLemore (B+): McLemore’s Instagram videos seem to be paying off. Ben entered the game late in the first quarter, and was given really good minutes for his play. Yes, I said it, Ben McLemore played good, hard and consistent — something the Grizzlies wings are in search of right now. He finished with a season-high 21 points on 3-7 shooting from downtown in 27 minutes of play.
J. Martin (B+): Martin has played really well in these three wins, and that didn’t stop in Friday night’s third consecutive victory. Jarell continues to find the ball and not hesitate when he gets the open shot. Not hesitating has led Martin to consistent minutes, good play, and huge role with the second unit. Jarell finished with seven points and seven rebounds.
A. Harrison (B): Harrison had a really solid floor game again for the Grizzlies. He continues to make the right passes. He’s also not forcing shots, instead taking the open ones. I thought Harrison would for sure struggle defensively, but after one quarter he had adjusted. Harrison finished with 12 points.

Deyonta Davis(B): Davis was all over the floor for the Grizzlies bench unit, but he seems to do just enough. Davis’s physicality has picked, and so has his game on both ends. Deyonta finished with five points, eight rebounds and five assists.
W. Selden (B-): Selden had an average game tonight for the Grizzlies. He finished with four points in 17 minutes of action.
J. Green (C+): Green, like a few other Grizzlies, couldn’t get it going. He struggled to find the ball throughout the night, but played well in situations he was put in. He gets a ‘C+’ because he didn’t have a negative impact on the game
M. Chalmers (C+): Chalmers had an alright night from the floor tonight. He made some mistakes, but you can see that he’s really trying to make it work with that second unit. Some shots were questionable, but other than that, Chalmers had good open shots. Mario finished with five points and five assists.
M. Gasol (C): Gasol seemed uncomfortably passive. Gasol had court time, but it seemed like a night off for him. Marc seemed in the moment like a lot of the fans, but at least he had a night off. Gasol finished with just six points in 26 minutes of play.
