Memphis Grizzlies: Ranking possible landing spots for Tyreke Evans
The Memphis Grizzlies have placed Tyreke Evans on the trade block. Where are some possible landing spots for one of the league’s best bargain deals?
The Memphis Grizzlies found their third fiddle with Marc Gasol and Mike Conley. Turns out, it only cost them $3M. That’s right, Tyreke Evans is filling the role of what Chandler Parsons was supposed to be for a fraction of the cost.
Unfortunately, because of bad max deals (not just Parsons…) and overpaid contracts to role players (Ben McLemore and JaMychal Green), the Grizzlies can’t afford to keep a 20-5-5 threat.
With the playoffs looking unlikely and his contract expiring, trading him for a second first-round pick — and an increased chance of attaining the number one pick.
Finding landing spots for him isn’t too hard, especially given that most playoff teams need a player like Evans off the bench. His playmaking is underrated, as most people consider him to be a ball-stopper. His shooting has improved immensely. More importantly though, he gets buckets.
As the trade deadline approaches, where are the best landing spots for Tyreke Evans? Could the Memphis Grizzlies swing a good return for him?
