Memphis Grizzlies: Attack of the rowdy fans

MEMPHIS, TN - JANUARY 26: Blake Griffin

The Memphis Grizzlies had an interesting night against the Los Angeles Clippers. Unfortunately, the players weren’t always the stars of the show…

The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers rivalry has never ceased to amaze. Whether it was Zach Randolph wrestling Blake Griffin or Tony Allen kicking Chris Paul, the rivalry has had plenty of tense moments.

However, with the end of Grit ‘N’ Grind and Lob City, some believed that the rivalry may die a natural death. After all, many of the key players involved are no longer in Memphis and Los Angeles.

If last night’s game is any indication, it appears that some Memphis fans are taking it upon themselves to keep the rivalry alive.

Look, like most people in Memphis, I’m not a huge Blake Griffin fan. He’s a whiner, he’s got bad hair, and I don’t like him. It’s perfectly fine to not like him. I’d be willing to say that most people don’t like him (unless you’re my traitor co-expert, APPARENTLY).

Here’s a lesson in fan etiquette from your favorite site expert of Beale Street Bears: Don’t grab NBA players in the middle of games. Do not grab NBA players before games. Please do not grab NBA players after games. Do not grab NBA players, period.

Got it?

All joking aside, things like this really are a bad look for a fan base. It pisses players off and rightfully so. Even if you don’t mean any harm, you could still hurt someone. Again, I emphasize, do not do that.

Now that we’ve gotten that important talk out of the way, we can now move onto basketball matte…

Wait.

What is this?

Some may call me an eloquent man, a man of many words. I have no words for this particular incident.

I’ll see you degenerates at church on Sunday.
