The Memphis Grizzlies came close but a 3-point barrage, foul trouble and multiple turnovers cost them the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Quick Hits

Andrew Harrison in the loss had a career-high 28 points and hit five 3-pointers. He also attacked the basket with force, getting good looks at the rim. He shot 62 percent on the floor and made all of his 3’s and foul shots.

Jarell Martin was a beast everywhere on the floor tonight. He shot 58 percent from the floor and made one 3-pointer. His highlight play of the night was his reverse two-hand jam off the fastbreak. He ended up with 17 points, two assists, and eight rebounds.

Tyreke Evans coming into his second game after the trade mess was hot from deep. He shot 44 percent on the floor, 57 percent from deep, and made three free throws. He ended up with 23 points, seven assists and nine rebounds.

Marc Gasol and Dillion Brooks played solid defense against the Thunder. Brooks’ highlight play was a two-handed posterizer in the paint. Gasol had a near double-double with 10 points and nine assists. Brooks only scored 14 points.

Neutral Hits

The Grizzlies shot 51 percent the entire game. They also made more than half of their three point shots. They also came away with a total of 41 rebounds and 50 points in the paint.

The Thunder shot more free throws than the Grizzlies. In addition, they had less turnovers than the Grizzlies, and scored more off the bench.

Enemy Quick Hits

Russell Westbrook dominated again with another triple-double. The focus of his play was his passing. He ended up with 23 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds.

Paul George couldn’t miss from the 3-point line.  Even when contested or open, he knocked down the deep ball. He shot 67 percent from the floor, from deep and from the foul line.

Carmelo Anthony had low shooting numbers tonight, however, he still knocked down major shots against the Grizzlies. His highlight play was a 3-pointer at the end of the game to keep the Thunder in the lead.
