The race to the bottom continues as the Phoenix Suns (18-42) visit the Memphis Grizzlies (18-39).

It’s good to be back, isn’t it? Though the Memphis Grizzlies have struggled mightily this year, it is hard for an NBA fan to abandon them. It truly is a pleasure and a privilege to watch your favorite team play on a nightly basis.

Hello darkness, my old friend.

The Memphis Grizzlies have now lost 10 games in a row. The Phoenix Suns are indeed much easier competition, but unfortunately, they also have lost 10 games in a row. Something has to give.

What are some things to watch for in tonight’s game?

Answer: Not much.

Race to the Bottom

These two teams are bad. If I was a nice person, I would say that these are both developing teams who are getting better. But then again, that would also make me a liar. Every NBA fan usually doesn’t mind any type of NBA action, no matter how poor the quality of the contest it is.

However, these teams are not only terrible, they also have no motivation to win whatsoever. Whatever team wins, their fan base won’t be happy about it–and that’s not a good place to be from a competitive standpoint for the league.

So yeah, if you were thinking about going out with some friends or having a life in general, this might be a game to skip.

And…

Honestly, what else is there to say?

Devin Booker is a great rising superstar for the Suns who is fresh off a three-point contest victory. That also isn’t much news for even a casual fan of the NBA.

You know what you’re going to get from Marc Gasol, probably a solid 15 points on 6-14 shooting. At this point in the season, that’s just what you are going to get from him.

Now, I have a question for you, the reader. Why in the world are you reading a game preview about the Memphis Grizzlies and Phoenix Suns? No one is enough of a diehard fan to care about the outcome of this game. You must really hate yourself to agonize over whether Ben McLemore is going to outplay Troy Daniels off the bench.

For real, there’s a whole world out there? Go work, go date someone, just do anything that doesn’t involve caring about whether the Memphis Grizzlies will beat the Phoenix Suns.

I kid, I kid. Please always read our stuff because we never stop appreciating it. I’m just at the point of the season where the deep well of sadness is overflowing.

Here are some game details in case you’re feeling frisky.
