Memphis Grizzlies fall in Chicago to the Bulls

The Memphis Grizzlies once again lose on the road. The team came close against the Chicago Bulls, but it was not their night as the Grizzlies drop one at the United Center, 119 -110.

Grizzlies Quick Hits

Dillion Brooks was hot from deep late in the game, plus his defense against the Bulls was solid with those steals. He scored his career-high 29 points and also came away with two steals. He shot 56 percent on the floor, and he made all of his foul shots.

Ben McLemore had a solid game as well. He was scoring inside and out. Defensively, he was a threat on the perimeter and post. He came away with 17 points, two assists and seven rebounds with three steals.

Marc Gasol did not have the best night shooting-wise, but he was still effective. Every time he passes the ball and rebounds, he comes close to a triple double. He came close, but the team still lost. He ended up with 17 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

JaMychal Green had the glass covered offensively and defensively. He was battling for 50/50 balls and scoring at will. He ended up with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Kobi Simmions had some highlight plays including an and-one floater over the top of the Bulls defense. He also was a beast defensively with his three steals and a block. He ended up with 11 points and three rebounds.

Neutral Quick Hits

The Grizzlies shot 48 percent in the entire game, while the Bulls shot 53 percent.

The Bulls had 54 rebounds compared to the Grizzlies’ 38. Both teams also had nine offensive rebounds.

The Grizzlies had more blocked shots and fouls than the Bulls. Though they won, the Bulls surprisingly had more turnovers in the game than the Grizzlies.

Hits from the Enemy

Kris Dunn was a surprise against the Grizzlies, as he took over the game. He ended up with 21 points, nine assists and three rebounds. He was also effective on defense with three steals and one block.

Lauri Markkanen is usually hot from deep. He was hot, but it was mostly in the post. He came up with two highlight hammers off the fastbreak. He ended up with 22 points and six rebounds.

Bobby Portis had a double-double tonight. He was a beast on the boards, and his scoring packed a strong punch. He ended up with 15 points and 10 rebounds. He was locked in defensively and came away with two steals.

Justin Holiday had a big shooting night from deep. He ended up with 14 points and four rebounds. He made all his shots including four 3-ball shots.
