No. 1: Kyle Kuzma

Pick: 27th

Before I start …

WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN? THE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES ARE ALWAYS SO CLOSE TO GETTING AWESOME PLAYERS! Nikola Jokic … TJ Warren … Draymond Green … Joe Ingles … Now, Kyle Kuzma!

IT NEVER ENDS!

Kuzma has been the draft’s biggest steal. Who would’ve ever guessed that he would’ve been this good?

He’s a walking bucket that makes things happen on the court. Kuzma has switch-ability on defense and can play positions 3-5. He can also handle the basketball, as he can facilitate the offense or ignite a fast-break. He’s become one of the main components of the Lakers’ bright young core.

For the Grizzlies, he easily could’ve become one of the team’s best players and the power forward of the future. They don’t have anyone on the team – aside from Tyreke Evans – that can score from anywhere on the court. In addition, he just would’ve generated excitement for the future – something the team definitely needs.

He possibly could’ve been the perimeter scorer the Grizzlies have desired since Rudy Gay. Instead, we’re wondering what could’ve been. All because of a salary-dump trade for Jon Leuer.
