Memphis Grizzlies sign MarShon Brooks to a multi-year deal
Two weeks ago, MarShon Brooks was getting buckets in China, where he’d been getting them for the last four years. Today, the Memphis Grizzlies announced that Brooks will be signed to a multi-year deal.
MarShon Brooks signed a 10-day contract just nine days ago and showed that he can get buckets in the NBA still. Scoring 70 points in his first three games in a Grizzlies uniform is eye-opening to say the least. It is also a franchise-record for a player to score that many points that quick on a ten-day; it’s impressive. Brooks brings a swagger to this Grizzlies team that has been missing. Fire, heart, and a gritty toughness that the Grizzlies can use next season.

Brooks basically signed a training camp and preseason invitation for next season, where he try out for a healthy Grizzlies team. MarShon will then compete for the chance of making the roster, but could be one of the guys let go.
If you thought the Jarell Martin preseason was crazy this year, next year there will be a lot of potential cuts from this roster, because the team is pretty deep in depth when healthy.
Details of contract?
The Grizzlies did sign him to a two-year guaranteed deal. In terms of money I’m sure that it a small contract based on the amount of games left this season, and the completion for a roster spot next season.
