Chris Kern (@chriskern11): James Johnson (Miami Heat)

James Johnson would be a really good fit on the current Grizzlies team. His toughness and versatility would fit really well alongside Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. He would be a great four-man, either as a starter or off the bench, too. His toughness is something the Grizzlies could have really used this season.

He is not the most talented player, but he always brings effort, and that is what this team and the city is all about. He is a good enough scorer and is tough enough on defense to be able to guard most forwards.

Johnson was not in Memphis for very long, but that does not mean he would not be a good fit on this team. It was during the 2013-14 season and he has improved a lot since then.

He has been making a great impact for the Miami Heat over the past two years, especially shooting the three-ball. He shoots way more now and is above 30% still. That is not a great percentage, but being able to hit those shots is huge.
