“I just want to come in and make a instant impact with a team, because I am a competitor.”
Schofield also talked about this being an all guard tryout. “Today was an all guard tryout, so I was able to show that I can defend guards.”
The Admiral was also asked about which position he would play between the three and the four. “I’ve been told three, but I have the ability to switch and guard various positions,” responded Schofield.
Schofield talked about his size several times, but refereed to frame as being “big but not too tall.
Schofield has to make a decision by Wednesday, but Barnes seems to think that he will be back in Tennessee orange next season for the Vols. However, Schofield did not give any hints or answers, but told reporters that he would have a decision Wednesday.
If he comes out this year or next year, there is no question that a team is getting a true competitor, and someone that will last in the league for a long time. His role? Unknown, and that is what makes watching guys like Schofield so much fun, because not a lot of eyes are on him.
