The Knicks are by no means in win now mode. With Porzingis recovering from a torn ACL, this will be a year of development. Bridges is one of the more NBA ready players in this draft and the first upperclassmen off the board.

New York is rumored to be infatuated with Trae Young, but I am not sure they have the assets to move up far enough to take him. So throw Bridges in the mix with Mudiay, Hardaway Jr., and Kanter (if he returns) then the Knicks can at least compete some.
