Sure, the Jazz have a shooting guard already, striking gold with Donovan Mitchell. But there is not a gaping hole in this roster that is going to be filled at 21 in this draft, so the Jazz take the best prospect available.

Rumor has it that the Bulls have promised Chandler Hutchison, but if MPJ falls to them at 7 and is healthy, they can’t pass on him. So no need to draft another kid at the same position only to block him.

The Pacers and Oladipo could use some more wing depth as they continue to prove they are for real in the Eastern Conference.

This only happens if Chicago skips on their rumored promise, but it is just a rumor and this is just a mock draft. Hutchison could step in next season and play important minutes (Dillon Brooks type impact).

This is another rumored promise for a player in the first round, but even if its not true, this pick just makes sense for the Lakers.
