Jaren Jackson, Jr.

Jaren Jackson is a guy who has a ton of potential to be great. He is a seven footer who has the capability to stretch the floor from three-point range as well as making an impact blocking shots inside. He averaged 3 blocks per game while also shooting almost 40% from deep while shooting almost three per game.

Those are two skills that teams desperately need from their big men at this level. With an aging Marc Gasol, this team needs a big man for the future that is capable of making a big impact. Jackson has some flaws but he is very capable of making plays.

Jackson averaged just under eleven points and six rebounds per game in his 35 games this season with the Spartans. His low post offense isn’t great but he still has a lot of time to grow. He shoots almost 80% from the free throw line which is exceptional for a young big.

He is still just 18 years old so he has a lot of time to grow, the Grizzlies are in rebuild mode, Jackson could become a great player for the Grizzlies future if they give him the chance.
