Mo Bamba

Mo Bamba has more skill to his game than some like to give him credit for. Yes, he is still raw, but he is very skilled as well. He is probably the best shot blocker in this class. He is also a decent free-throw shooter and even has a little touch from three-point range. Some are unsure if he is gonna be worth taking at 4 but he would be very much here for the Memphis Grizzlies.

Bamba made a big impact in his lone season at Texas. He blocked so many shots inside that teams really tried to avoid him for the most part. He averaged 3.7 blocks per game in his freshman season.

Bamba also averaged 12.9 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. Bamba wasn’t always the focal point of the offense but when they needed a bucket, he could generally get it for them. His 27.5% shooting from deep isn’t as bad as it may seem. He is still very young and still has a lot of room to grow. Him being able to even hit those shots at that clip now could lead to him being a solid shooter in the future.

The Grizzlies will consider Bamba, Marc Gasol is getting older and they need to find his replacement. He has the skill to potentially become a legit big of the future for them. He also has some of the raw talents that could lead to him being the next Hasheem Thabeet. Is he worth the risk? I think he might be but the Memphis Grizzlies front office will have to decide that for themselves.
