Marvin Bagley

Marvin Bagley is a special talent. He likely won’t be available at number four but I would say that he’s the most likely of the top three to drop to number four: the other two being Luka Doncic and Deandre Ayton. Bagley averaged 21 points and 11 rebounds per game at Duke in his lone season there.

He makes an impact on both ends of the floor. He averaged just under one steal and block per game. One area of concern is his free throw shooting. 63% isn’t good for a pro but it’s a solid starting point for a struggling free throw shooter. With work, he’ll get that into the 70’s.

Bagley also shot nearly 40% from three. There’s no reason to expect that to stay that high next season, but even keeping that above 30% would be a decent number for a rookie big to be at.

He’s gonna be a special player at the next level, whether that’s in Memphis or somewhere else it will still be true. If he drops to the Grizzlies at number four and they keep the pick, which they should if he’s there, then you should bet the house on the Memphis Grizzlies selecting Marvin Bagley.
