CK: With the 10th overall pick, the Philadelphia 76ers select Miles Bridges. They would have preferred the other Bridges here, but Miles has the skill to be a very successful player himself. He should be able to get a nice role on this team immediately as a backup shooting guard or small forward with the potential to be a starter one day in the future.

CD: With the ninth overall pick, the New York Knicks select Wendell Carter Jr. out of Duke University to complete a twin towers lineup with Kristaps Porzingis. If big man Enes Kanter opts out of the upcoming season of his contract, Carter Jr. will greatly fill the void created by Kanter’s absence. This will be a rare high-value selection by the Knicks’ Front Office.

JL: At No. 8 overall, the Cleveland Cavaliers waste no time in deliberating and take Jaren Jackson Jr. before Adam Silver even leaves the stage announcing the Chicago Bulls’ (No.7) pick. A consensus top-five pick slips to replace a traded Kevin Love after LeBron James walks (via Free-Agency). Tom Izzo’s system did not display JJJ’s skills very well. He put up numbers that we do not often see from big men in his limited time on the floor. Dan Gilbert lands a steal here.

BS: With the seventh overall pick in the NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls select Mikal Bridges. Bridges will bring good wing shooting while giving the Bulls some defensive stability. I liked Bridges’ defense at Villanova and I like his chances of progressing in the NBA under a young head coach.

AS: With the sixth overall pick, the Orlando Magic select Luka Doncic. His stock has fallen in some recent mocks, but nabbing a sleeper first-overall pick this late is a total steal. Doncic brings a versatile skill set to a grossly maligned Magic offense (25th in offensive rating last season). A potential elite playmaker who could establish order in place of Aaron Gordon’s ongoing Josh Smith impersonation.
