Christian Dudley: What is better than a Grizzly throwdown on the Houston Rockets? The answer is an equally impressive slam on the Golden State Warriors.

In this particular sequence, the Memphis Grizzlies did a nice job in finding a rare wide-open outside look. Though Andrew Harrison failed to connect on the triple, Jarell Martin was present with the extra effort. His hustle enabled him to embarrass Mr. Cupcake, Kevin Durant, himself, as seen directly below.

Jarell bobbled the rebound a big, but somehow adjusted in mid-air to finished with the opposite hand. All those days playing the hoops game “21” paid off for the Grizzlies’ big man as he tipped in the bucket, increasing Memphis’ lead to 16.

The lable “superstar” may never find Jarell Martin, but he truly is a formidable NBA big man that has proven himself as being worthy of minutes on a nightly basis. One trend with these top plays of his is all about effort. There are very few players with 6’10” height that can put a bruising on opponents as well as out-run their entire frontcourt. On this night in October of 2017, the Memphis Grizzlies’ fan base gave Jarell Martin a well-deserved standing ovation.
