The Los Angeles Lakers made some big moves in the offseason but don’t sleep on the advantages that the Memphis Grizzlies have over the Lakers.
To no ones surprise, Lebron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Los Angeles Lakers this past offseason. He, along with players like Rajon Rando, former Grizzly Lance Stephenson, and JaVale Mcgee, have teamed up to create another dominant force in the already highly competitive Western Conference. After the 2017-18 season many would say that the Grizzlies have no chance up against the Dominant Lakers, or do they?
Memphis has gone through an entire offseason as smooth as possible. Veteran players like Mike Conley and Marc Gasol are back and healthy, and the team has a healthy dose of youth and veteran leadership, and that is why you shouldn’t count Memphis out.

Young Team. Strong Chemistry
The Lakers have a fairly young group of players that have not been playing as a whole for a long time, mix them with an assortment of veterans, and you have a fresh team. No matter if each piece of this team is great individually, it is difficult to play as a solid unit in a short offseason. This is where Memphis has the advantage, heading into this season. The Grizzlies have a young roster, with all star veterans that know their team. This young team has been through many games both during the regular season and the post season together and have always prevailed. Therefore giving them a slight advantage to a “new” Laker Crew.
