Dillon Brooks makes his second NBA 2K with a rating of 75 and is in the Memphis Grizzlies starting lineup. Brooks is the definition of ‘trick or treat’ in certain games, and I find this unfair to Brooks and his entire rookie campaign.

Brooks showed that he had the tools to be a very skilled offensive player, so when I saw his rating, I figured that they would make up for it in his offensive game, but that was a no. While I’ve gotten Brooks several times, his takeover switch isn’t as easy to get going like in real life. Brooks was born to get buckets, so when I played with Brooks and saw that he wasn’t, that was my first strike with the Grizzlies team and the way 2K rated it.

I wanted 2K to find a middle between this Brooks, and the guy that averaged 11 PPG in his rookie season making crazy shot after crazy shot. Brooks deserved at least a 78, but I am sure similar to Jaren Jackson Jr., he will have an improved rating as the season moves along.
