Grizzlies Foundation Gives Back:

The Memphis Grizzlies, like most sports teams, businesses, and educational institution, have a foundation. This foundation is responsible for promoting the Memphis Grizzlies’ charitable work in the community as well as raising funds for charitable donations.

Though the Memphis Grizzlies are located in a blue collar town in a small market, the impact they are able to make is exponential. Being able to partner with other large corporations and other Memphis based businesses, allows all the work they do to be home grown; like them team itself.

This foundation’s main goal and objective is to promote the changing of lives through sports, especially for at risk children. They are responsible for searching for or creating youth programs to raise awareness throughout the city of Memphis to help give kids the opportunity they deserve. Since the team’s relocation to Memphis in 2001, the Grizzlies foundation has reinvested over 51 million dollars into the youth of the area. Whether it be through reading, fitness, or providing access to volunteers that want to help,

The Grizzlies give back. And as long as the Grizzlies are in Memphis then they will continue to give back. Their foundation helps children, everyday, get ahead and stay ahead so that they will be able to grow up and be role models themselves. All of this starts with our Memphis Grizzlies.
