Going all the way back to when Jaren Jackson Jr., was drafted fourth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies, he was asked by the local media that night via phone call how he felt about the fans ‘booing’ his pick. That night he did not hesitate and told us that he wanted to prove us wrong.

Translate that to Media day nearly three months apart, and see if Triple-J still has that same mindset, which I still think he does. His personality made that night much better, because he loved the situation he was coming into and was confident with the franchise.

Also with Jaren, listen for stories of his  interactions this offseason with Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. A big thing this offseason, and moving into the season will be how fast he and Gasol get on the same page on the court, so that he and Marc can be the starting big men.

Listen for those stories, and just overall what he has worked on this offseason after his first NBA experience with the NBA Summer League where he showed out for the Memphis Grizzlies.

A lot has changed since we saw Jaren in Summer League. His interaction with the local fans, and also turning 19 a few things surrounding Jackson Jr., heading into his first Grizzlies Media Day.
