Training camp has arrived for the Memphis Grizzlies, and these players will make a name for themselves — for better or for worse.

The long-awaited NBA Media Day has come and gone in a blink of an eye. It was action- and information-packed, as expected, on the Memphis Grizzlies‘ front.

Overall, many positive notes were provided by players and Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff.  Now all eyes are pointing toward Tuesday, which marks Day One of training camp. The real work is set to begin.

It appears as if the rest of the NBA is not expecting much from the Grizzlies despite their return to full health for the first time in what seems to be ages.

More from Beale Street Bears

Memphis was bad in 2017-18. There is no doubting that fact. Their 22-60 record speaks for itself. However, with two promising rookies, added depth, and all three max contract players ready to rumble without minute restrictions, the sky is the limit.

Coach Bickerstaff was adamant about the Memphis Grizzlies’ versatility to be on full display in the 2018-19 season. He is right — the majority of the names on the new-look roster can play mutliple positions and should work well together regardless of who is on the floor at any given moment.

It is not a question of who can play. This particular roster is oozing with talent that can play right away. The real determination is who will be most deserving of breaking into the initial rotation.

The Beale Street Bears crew has made their picks for which names will impress — and which will do quite the opposite — this week as Grizzlies Training Camp officially launches.
