Memphis Grizzlies Win Against Indiana in Thrilling Fashion

Third Quarter
Jaren Jackson Jr. came out of the locker room and played a heavily contested, low post shot that resulted in the first two points of the second half.
Going into the second half, a player aside from Selden that displayed outstanding athleticism was Omri Casspi. He has been physical both defensively and offensively, opening up the lane and shooting in a congested post.
To many fans’ surprise, guard Jevon Carter has not played that many minutes. With primary point guard Mike Conley on the bench, many thought his time would have increased, but Shelvin Mack was awarded most of the minutes at the point position on Saturday evening.
To this point in the game, the Memphis Grizzlies were still paying below-average offense while still shooting in the low 40s percentage-wise.
At the three-minute mark, Dillon Brooks and Jevon Carter took the floor while Yuta Watanabe, and Ivan Rabb made their first appearances to help a tired secondary unit.
Though it was his first regulation game in the NBA, Watanabe’s hustle and blocks showed him to be a valuable defensive cornerstone in the Grizzlies’ rotation. His emergence was a nice surprise. At the end of the third quarter, the Indiana Pacers led the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 78-76.
