If the Memphis wants to have a successful dress rehearsal in their final preseason matchup, mistakes will have to be at a minimum, and progress will have to be shown. Houston took advantage of rookie big man Jaren Jackson Jr., in their first matchup this preseason. Now, Jackson Jr., will have to show progression in terms of using his size and not his hands.

Memphis second unit will have to show maturity in terms of knowing when to push the pace against Houston, and then knowing when to reel it in and slow the pace down, because Houston dominated pace in their first matchup.

Whether Houston plays their starters for as long as they did in their first matchup against the Grizzlies, Memphis must redeem themselves before their season opener against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday. This game is purely to build confidence for the Grizzlies to head into the regular season with, and find the best rotations to put on the floor to be the most successful night in and out.
