The Memphis Grizzlies completed the preseason with a 2-3 record. Though there were causes for concern, plenty of positives were demonstrated prior to the regular season.
After a long offseason that was filled with a handful of changes within the Memphis Grizzlies organization, the regular season is just hours away.
With thanks to the preseason schedule, the basketball world caught a glimpse into the success the latest rookie crop may endure over the next several months. On Memphis’ front, it was also a time to see how their new group of veterans will mesh.

The Memphis Grizzlies are an all-encompassing package. Not only do they have the rookies, the youth, and new veteran role players, but they also have a new full-time head coach in the fold of things. On top of it all, the team’s leader — Mike Conley — has regained full health and looks to produce his best season yet.
Through five preseason contests, a lot of insight into the 2018-19 squad was gained. Though the Grizzlies did not blow their competition away, the potential for a playoff berth certainly exists. However, the alternative could be very real, too, especially given the enhanced Western Conference field.
Will this Grizzly ship sink or will it float and prosper? It will take all 82 games in order for Memphis to reach their ultimate team-based goal.
