Memphis Grizzlies Fall on the Road in Season-Opener Versus Indiana

Looking Ahead
The Memphis Grizzlies will head back home to take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday. The Hawks lost 126-107 against the New York Knicks to open their regular season.
This is a game the Grizzlies have to win. If you want to be able to even think about the NBA Playoffs, you have to be able to win games like this at home. It is a real opportunity to measure this team. Was Wednesday’s road loss a fluke due to a title-chasing Indiana team?
The defense has to be better for sure. Memphis needs to enforce their will inside and get some easy buckets around the rim.
Mike Conley and Marc Gasol have to be better. These two are back healthy and there is no excuse for playing the way they did offensively. They must be the leaders when it comes to putting points on the board and leading their team on the defensive end.
If those guys can hit shots and the effort on the defensive end is much improved, they should be able to pick up a win at home against the Atlanta Hawks.
