Omri Casspi

Omri Casspi did not play in the season-opener in Indiana, but he came back with a good performance at home against Atlanta.

He showed off his offensive versatility by scoring a couple of nice driving finishes at the rim. He did miss a couple open three-pointers, but it still showed his ability and confidence to stretch the floor.

Casspi earned a spot in the rotation even before the news that JaMychal Green was going to be out for an extended period of time. This should lead to even more minutes than he had on Friday night.

It is more about Omri Casspi just playing well as to why he should get minutes. He was a good fit on the floor with the rest of the team, which is why the Memphis Grizzlies may have played him instead of some of the younger wings.

It was just one game, but Casspi played well and deserves to get playing time. If he continues to play well, he will stay in the rotation all season long. That is great value for a minimum-value contract.
