6 Candidates Likely to Step Up for the Memphis Grizzlies with JaMychal Green Out
By Chris Kern
Kyle Anderson
Kyle Anderson is going to play a lot more because of this injury. The Memphis Grizzlies could go with him in the starting lineup, but either way, he will likely be playing starter-level minutes.
They are going to be forced to play more small ball, which will leave Parsons and Anderson at the forward spots.
Many have been lobbying for Kyle Anderson to be in the starting lineup over Chandler Parsons, but whether or not he does start, we will see him in that role minutes-wise.
Anderson is another guy who can make plays. The Grizzlies play the Utah Jazz on Monday. That is a team that will play a lot of small-ball, and they are good at it, too.
They will have Jae Crowder and Joe Ingles at the forward spots for long stretches and the Grizzlies could combat that by going with Anderson and Parsons.
Jaren Jackson Jr. is the franchise’s future, so he should start in order to expedite his first-year development, but do not be surprised if Kyle Anderson is getting some of those minutes left behind by JaMychal Green.
