Memphis Grizzlies: 4 Key Players That Are Vital for Wing Depth
By Chris Kern
Dillon Brooks
Dillon Brooks had a rough first couple games adjusting to his role, but he has played better recently. He has averaged just 4.9 points and 2 rebounds per game in the first seven contests.
His shooting percentages have been bad. He has been forcing shots up, which has led to a bad percentage. This will rise as the season progresses, and it is not much of a concern currently.

Dillon shot just one-for-seven from the field against the Atlanta Hawks in the second game of the season. That was after he played just six minutes in the season-opener, so it is understandable that he was trying to do too much.
His minutes have increased and he has fit in much better on both ends of the floor. Dillon Brooks had a really good game against the Phoenix Suns, as did the other four players mentioned in this article.
Brooks had eight points and six rebounds in that game. He also had two assists and two steals, which shows off his all-around two-way play.
The most notable stat is the 27 minutes in which he played. Some of that was because he was in the game at the end since it was out of reach, but in such a short time, his role has increased from the game against the Pacers.
Dillon Brooks’ mental toughness is something that will be crucial for this second unit. He has shown he will do whatever it takes to help this team. Plus, he can make a big impact on the defensive end.
