MarShon Brooks

MarShon Brooks is the wild card for this team. He can flat out score the basketball. He has averaged 6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, but he has only played in six games instead of seven.

Brooks shot just two-for-nine from the field in the season-opener. That, for some reason, was enough to warrant him not getting any playing time against Atlanta.

Similar to Wayne Selden, MarShon Brooks’ minutes have been very inconsistent as well. He has had a couple games where he plays double-digit minutes, followed by some, where he plays just a few minutes. Then there was the game he did not play at all.

He is one of the best pure scorers on this team. He showed that with an 18-point, seven-for-nine shooting performance against the Suns.

The way the Memphis Grizzlies used him against the Kings was fantastic. When they have a small-ball lineup featuring four starters with MarShon Brooks out there, it really helps their offense.

He gives them another threat on the offensive end. It is that simple. He is a natural scorer. No matter how hard this team plays and how much they slow the game down, they still need his scoring. He provides life.
