Memphis Grizzlies: 3 Keys To Victory In Phoenix
By Chris Kern
The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Suns in their first matchup at the FedEx Forum. It will be tougher this time around with Devin Booker is expected to play.
The Grizzlies beat the Phoenix Suns in their first matchup 117-96. They received big contributions from a handful of players which allowed them to win by such a large margin.
Marc Gasol led the team in scoring with 19 points but it was the contributions from the guys off the bench that made the biggest impact.
Marshon Brooks had 18 points in 19 minutes while Wayne Selden also had 14 points off the bench.
It should be a much different game this time around as the Suns are expected to have Devin Booker on the floor.
The Suns made just 27% of their three-pointers in the first matchup and having Booker out there will make those tougher to defend.
Memphis shot the ball 55.7% from the field in the first matchup but they had struggled away from home before Friday’s win in Utah. The Grizzlies shot 50.7% in that win and will look to continue that success going into Phoenix Sunday night.
The Suns will play much better than they did in Memphis in the first matchup. If the Grizzlies can get the job done in these three areas, they will improve their record to 6-2.
