The Memphis Grizzlies came away with just one win on their recent three-game road trip, but there are reasons to be hopeful as they return home.

After a dreadful game versus the Golden State Warriors, the Memphis Grizzlies are finally headed home. They completed their first three-game road trip of the season with a 1-2 showing.

This road trip was full of ups and downs. Memphis was able to pull off an unlikely victory versus a Utah Jazz squad, though Donovan Mitchell was missing from the match.

The second road game was the one the Grizzlies had the best chance to win — and they almost did. They had the “W” within reach until the final minute of the meeting, where the Devin Booker-led Phoenix Suns stepped ahead in the final minute on back-to-back possessions.

Not only was this road trip the longest thus far of the early season for the Memphis Grizzlies, but the third matchup was their first scenario of it being the second game of a back-to-back. To make matters worse (or worst, actually), it was versus the Golden State Warriors, who continue to boast an undefeated record on their home floor.

All in all, it was not a terrible showing versus the Warriors. Plus, it was an impressive win in Utah. However, the worst piece of this road trip came in that loss to Phoenix.

The Grizzlies were so close to a four-game winning streak had they achieved a win against the Suns, and it would have given them even more momentum heading into the matchup with Golden State.

The good news is that Memphis returns to their home court on Wednesday when the Denver Nuggets arrive on the schedule. Denver is playing well this season, but the Grizzlies have played their best ball on both ends of the floor when they have the home crowd’s full support.

As the Memphis Grizzlies look to piece together the initial makings of a new winning streak, Beale Street Bears analyzes trends from the three-game road trip. These are three Grizzly team statistics that show promising signs for this team moving forward within the month of November.
