Romeo Langford

Romeo Langford is a really talented player who’s looking to lead Indiana back to prominence. He was the 5th ranked player in the 2018 class by ESPN and is projected to be a top 10 pick in next years NBA Draft.

Langford has some of the similar weaknesses to the other guys on this list. He is a streaky shooter at times and he is a little bit to ball dominant.

Playing at Indiana against other top schools and players will help him with that. He’s gonna learn to play off the ball which will help him with his development.

He is an athletic player who does a good job using that to his advantage on both ends of the floor. His ability to make plays on the defensive end is something that would fit in Memphis.

The Grizzlies have been getting in passing lanes all season and Langford would be a perfect player to add into that.

His playmaking on the offensive end is something Memphis could really use. They don’t have many young wings that they know they can trust for the long haul.

Wayne Selden and Dillon Brooks have shown some think but Selden likely isn’t going to be anything more than a role player. Brooks has shown more promise but he is still more of just a complimentary piece.

Langford had 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in the season opener. He played a pretty good game but we’ll just have to wait and see when he starts playing tougher competition.

He did miss all three of his shot attempts from three-point range which is one area scouts will want to see him succeed in during this season.

A larger concern is him going 5-11 from the free-throw line. The Grizzlies haven’t shot very well from the free-throw line but it won’t be much of a factor in whether they select him or not.

You would like to see that number be at least 70% this season so he has a solid mark to build off of.

Romeo Langford is a really talented player who gets it done on both ends. If the Grizzlies have their pick somewhere in the five through seven range he could very possibly be their selection.
