Memphis Grizzlies: An early look at 2019 NBA Draft prospects
By Chris Kern
Cam Reddish
Cam Reddish is a guy who’s going to be overlooked all season on this Duke roster. He has a chance to be just as good of a pro.
He was the lowest ranked of the Duke trio in the ESPN Top 100 but he was still the 3rd ranked player in the country. NBADraft.net currently has him going 4th overall and is overall thought of as a top-five pick at the moment.
Reddish might be the guy on this list that fits with the Grizzlies the best. He doesn’t have to have the ball in his hands to be dominant and he would be a great fit alongside their current players.
With Mike Conley likely being the starting point guard for the next few years they can continue to build around him with some young talent before finding their point guard of the future.
Reddish is a guy who can fill it up offensively. He can finish around the I’m pretty well but he is the best pure shooter at the top of this draft class.
He scored 22 points in their game vs Kentucky which was the lowest of Duke’s big three. It was an absolutely dominating performance by the Blue Devils.
Reddish can hit tough shots for this team when they’re struggling offensively. It’ll be interesting to see how he fits into the offense at the end of close games.
The Grizzlies could really use a guy like Reddish for the long haul. He and Jaren Jackson Jr. would form a good young duo to build around while still having a good starting point guard in Conley.
If Memphis is able to keep their pick by staying inside the top seven Cam Reddish is a very possible selection for them to make.
