Memphis Grizzlies: Comparing Jaren Jackson Jr. With Other Top Picks
By Chris Kern
Jaren Jackson Jr.
Jaren Jackson Jr. is off to a fantastic start to the season. He has fit in great in the starting lineup and has dominated on both ends of the floor.
When he has stayed out of foul trouble he has been dominant. The bad thing is he has gotten into foul trouble on many occasions.
He has scored double-digits in seven of the Grizzlies last eight games. Including his two best games of the season in wins over Denver and Sacramento.

In the Denver game, he finished with 20 points and seven rebounds and absolutely dominated the end of the first half to lead the Grizzlies on a 10-0 run.
He also had three steals and three blocks in that game which were big momentum boosts for this team.
His best game of the season was in the recent home win against the Kings. He had a season-high 27 points in that game on 11-16 shooting.
His ability to attack the basket off the dribble was on full effect in that game as well as his low post game as he got many easy baskets at the rim.
He had a great defensive performance in that game as well with two steals and four blocks while also grabbing four rebounds.
Those two games were perfect examples of everything Jackson has done for the team this season. If he continues to play like this, expect many more wins for the rest of this season and possibly the next decade.
The Memphis Grizzlies surprised some people with their selection of Jackson but it has paid off so far. The Grizzlies haven’t made a good first-round selection in years, let us hope this works out long-term.
