The Memphis Grizzlies have struggled to acquire reliable players through the NBA Draft. Here are five under the radar prospects who could work in Memphis.

It’s no secret that the Memphis Grizzlies haven’t done a good job selecting players in the NBA draft. Things have started to get a bit better with some of their selections the last two years.

They drafted Dillon Brooks 45th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft after trading with Houston to acquire the pick.

He had a really good rookie season and was starting to play really well this season before his injury. Anytime you can at least get a solid role player in the second round that is a success.

It takes superstars to make a team special though. You typically acquire them early in the first round and that’s where Memphis has really struggled.

We’re gonna try and think positively. They’ve drafted multiple draft busts but it seems they may have changed that cycle this past summer.

They drafted Jaren Jackson Jr. 4th overall out of Michigan State. He has been playing at a very high level early on in his career.

His play on both ends of the floor has greatly impacted this team. He is currently averaging 12.9 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the floor and 28% from three-point range.

His play on the defensive end fits in perfect with the defensive mindset of this team. He is averaging 1.1 steals and 1.9 blocks per game.

Jackson is looking like a future star and despite the need for a young star on the wing this team still needs some young guys who can be role players for the long haul.

Here are five of the top prospects who are going under the radar for a combination of reasons. They all can ball and at least a few of them should be available for the Grizzlies second-round selection.
