MarShon Brooks

MarShon Brooks‘ role has been very inconsistent this season. There have been some games this season where he hasn’t played at all.

Some injuries to guys on the wing have opened up minutes for him. He has had his fair share of struggles but in recent games, nearly everyone on the team has struggled.

So far this season he has played in 19 of the Grizzlies 22 games. He is averaging 7.1 points in 14 minutes of action in those games.

His three-point shooting percentage is only at 30% which is a concern for him. He is known as the team’s bucket getter so some of his inconsistent minutes are because of his offensive struggles.

He played 21 minutes in the recent loss against the 76ers in which he scored 12 points on 5-10 shooting.

Brooks didn’t play at all in the first meeting with the Clippers so it is hard to guess what his role will be. With Wayne Selden getting healthy that should limit his minutes more so than in recent games.

With the way the Clippers make an impact off the bench Memphis needs to utilize their second unit as well.

The Grizzlies need some more scorers to step up. If Brooks is gonna stay in the rotation he needs to score the ball, this game will be a perfect situation for him to do so.
