Memphis Grizzlies: 3 Reasons Mike Conley Deserves To Be An All-Star
By Chris Kern
Leading A Winning Team
The most important part for a guy like Conley making the all-star game is his team being able to win games.
The Grizzlies are 16-13 and in 8th place in the western conference but they were in first place at 12-5 just a couple of weeks ago.
This team has battled some injuries but they have missed multiple opportunities to get a win against opponents who had injuries of their own.
It’s still too early for this team to panic but losing some of these games could cost this team a playoff spot as well as costing Conley an all-star game appearance.

Despite recent struggles, the national media has started to take notice of their success.
They play their style of basketball and it throws opposing teams off of their game.
Memphis has still picked up a couple of big wins during this tough stretch such as in New Orleans and at home against the Trail Blazers.
This team has a lot they need to improve on going forward but Conley is good enough on his own to keep this team afloat while they figure things out.
They head on a four-game road trip which could turn out to be a turning point for this team.
It could jumpstart their winning ways again but it also could send them spiraling out of control.
With the intensity, they bring on the defensive end and a healthy Mike Conley then we should expect some wins despite facing four really good teams.
It’s still too early in the season to say but if Conley can keep this up while leading this team to a winning record then he deserves to get his first all-star game nod.
