Memphis Grizzlies: Previewing The Four-Game Road Trip
By Chris Kern
The Memphis Grizzlies are in the middle of a slump and it’s only going to get tougher for this team. They prepare for a four-game west coast road trip against tough competition.
This is likely the biggest stretch of the Memphis Grizzlies season up to this point. With the recent struggles, you have to avoid falling way down the standings. This could be a turning point in either a good or a bad way for this team. They have to find a way to win at least a game or two.
One of the positives is that the Grizzlies have already played each of these teams at least once this season.
They have lost to each team besides Portland but it’s still something they can use to help them prepare for each team.
Memphis got blown out in Oakland against the Golden State Warriors while also getting blown out at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.
They also suffered a tough road loss in Sacramento though they did get revenge in the later meeting in Memphis.
The Grizzlies did get a home win over the Trail Blazers recently despite allowing CJ McCollum to score 40 points.
This is a tough stretch for Memphis and they need to do a good job to keep their spot in the western conference standings.
They already have dropped all the way from 1st to 7th in just a few weeks span. It’s so tight they could easily make up ground but it’s tough to expect them to do so with the way they’ve been playing.
This team has shown in the past to never give up on them. Just get back to Grit N’ Grind basketball and bring people into the mud.
It gets started against the two-time defending NBA champs so it isn’t going to be easy but expect this team to fight like they usually do.
