JaMychal Green

JaMychal Green as a potential trade piece when have we heard this before? It wouldn’t be a Grizzlies season if we didn’t discuss Green potentially being traded.

That doesn’t mean he isn’t useful for this team because he is, he has been playing really well on both ends of the floor.

That could go both ways making the Grizzlies want to keep him but especially after trading away both second-round picks to get Holiday they will eventually want to get at least one back somehow and using Green to do so is very possible.

He has dealt with a broken jaw earlier this season which forced him to miss some time but when he’s been out there he has played extremely well.

In 28 games so far this season he is averaging 10.2 points and 6.5 rebounds. He is doing that while shooting 50% from the field and 38% from three-point range.

He finished with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals while making 9-12 shots from the floor. His three-point shot was also on as he made 3-4 from deep.

He had a huge game in a come from behind win on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans that seemed like a momentum-boosting win for the team.

It wasn’t though as the Grizzlies have won just three games since and that was a month ago. Yes, you saw that right, they’ve won three games in the past month which is why we are discussing yet again, why Green would be on the trade block.

We’ve heard it every year so we’ll have to see it before we believe it but don’t be surprised if this is the year he finally gets dealt.
