Garrett Temple
Garrett Temple got off to such a great start this season but his production, most notably his shooting, has dropped off in a big way.
Despite some recent struggles, he is still having the best season of his career, a large part of that is because of the opportunity he has been given.
His 32 minutes per game is easily a career-high surpassing his 26.6 minutes during the 2016-17 season. During those 32 minutes, he is averaging 10.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game.
He had a 30 point performance in the home opener win over the Atlanta Hawks. He made 10-11 shots including 5-6 from three-point range.
He shot 52% from three-point range during the six October games so there was no way he could keep that up and he dropped into the low/mid 30’s during November and December.

So far in the first four January games, he has really struggled. His field goal percentage is just 29% on 9.5 attempts per game.
His three-point percentage is even worse as he is making just 24% of his 4.3 attempts per game. If he doesn’t pick that up then there’s no way anybody would trade for him.
There are a lot of playoff teams that need additional shooting. Temple isn’t the flashiest option but he would cost less in a trade than most if not all of the other candidates.
This is his final year in a 3 year, $24 million deal he signed with the Sacramento Kings during the 2016 offseason.
That’s a lot of money for a guy who has been inconsistent but some team will be willing to make a deal for him after they strike out on other trade candidates.
If the Grizzlies keep losing games I would be surprised to see all three of these players on the team past the deadline.
