Justin Timberlake is known for his music, but he recently showcased the hottest of hits inside the home of the Memphis Grizzlies.
While the Memphis Grizzlies have been struggling on the road over the past few days, Justin Timberlake has been protecting the Grindhouse on his own.
Memphis is returning to their home floor on Wednesday in looking to sweep the Milwaukee Bucks in their season series. This is following two straight losses on the road to the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets, respectively.
In those two combined road meetings, the Memphis Grizzlies have shot the ball with decent accuracy from three-point land. In averaging 34.3% from long-range through the first half of the 2018-19 NBA season, Memphis is raising the percentage by getting hot from deep in games against Miami and Houston — good for a combined 38.4% and connecting on 10 triples in each contest.
Still, defending the three-point shot has been an ongoing issue for the Grizzlies, and as expected even before the start of the season, scoring points of any type has been a constant struggle.
While the Memphis Grizzlies were away over the weekend, celebrity musician Justin Timberlake returned to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee to get up some shots on the team’s practice court.
For those that do not know, Timberlake is a minority owner of the Memphis Grizzlies franchise and occasionally sits courtside or in a luxury box to take in Grizz action.
Let it be known that he has yet to attend a game in Memphis this season, but Beale Street Bears knows he is a busy man that is working hard. Plus, he has another 39 games to choose from, including Wednesday’s game versus the Bucks.
Though the Memphis Grizzlies have more than one reason to focus on three-point shots, Justin Timberlake showcased his own hot shooting. It was so impressive that he shared video evidence on his personal Twitter account.

Yes, that is a halfcourt shot swished by Justin Timberlake. Plus, he is giving some attention to the Memphis Grizzlies by posting that video. What is not to love?
Well, for those wondering, there is the fact that he attends more games supporting the Los Angeles Lakers in California. But that is okay — Memphis has loyal fans and loyal players, so it is always forgiven.
But seriously, Justin Timberlake needs to attend a game or two (or all of them) in this season’s final stretch. Even the Grizzlies’ majority owner, Robert Pera, recently spectated one of Memphis’ road games. However, that may have been more of an in-person performance evaluation for Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff.
Kudos to Justin for the hot hand and nailing a bucket from long distance. Hopefully the energy finds the Memphis Grizzlies as they take on the Eastern Conference’s second-best team on Wednesday evening.
