The Grizzlies Have A Handful Of Trade Worthy Players

With the losses continuing to pile up it’s time to start thinking about who could be on the move before the deadline. Despite how much the coaches and players say they’re focused on winning it’s becoming evident that this team just isn’t good enough to get it done.

While it’s never good when you lose there have been multiple players show their value despite all the losses. The Grizzlies may have a few players who could be worth something on the trade market.

With only a couple of weeks left until the trade deadline teams will need to decide whether they want to be buyers or sellers while some will also just want to stay put.

It’ll be interesting to see which teams have injuries over the next couple of weeks because that could be the difference between some of these players getting traded.

JaMychal Green is the obvious trade candidate. He is a stretch big who plays with a high motor and can impact the game on both ends of the floor and that was all on display in this game. He finished with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and two blocks in this game while making two three-pointers.

Garrett Temple is another candidate as well. He has struggled as of late so it seems unlikely teams would want to offer much for him but teams will become desperate so anything can happen. In this game, he had eight points, four rebounds, and three assists while making two three-point shots.

Holiday is also a guy who could be traded even though the Grizzlies just recently traded for him themselves. At the moment it seems unlikely but over the next couple of weeks the market will heat up and he could be a prime target.

Shelvin Mack has really picked up his play as of late after struggling for much of the season. In this game, he finished with 15 points and 7 assists while knocking down two three-pointers. This was his 5th straight game scoring in double figures.

While he isn’t an ideal candidate for teams there may be a contender who would like to have him on their roster in case of an emergency and if he keeps up his hot play it’s very possible he could get traded.

A surprise candidate is Omri Casspi. It’s very unlikely but he has been playing well and has really shown his worth over the past couple of games. In this game, he finished with 12 points and 2 rebounds on 5-7 shooting including 2-2 from three-point range.

You may notice that all of these guys made two three-pointers each in this game. There are a lot of teams that need shooters so if these guys can continue to hit shots then their values will continue to rise.
