The Memphis Grizzlies have had many NBA trade rumors in recent days. Now Garrett Temple and JaMychal Green are drawing interest from opposing teams.

The majority of the Memphis Grizzlies NBA trade rumors have been surrounding Mike Conley and Marc Gasol. Other teams will have plenty of interest in Garrett Temple and JaMychal Green.

There have been reports that at least a few teams already have shown interest. It needs to be noted that we have no reason to believe any real trade talks have been going on though.

It also is important to note that it is unclear at the moment which team was interested in which player. We may have a good guess on them but it also is possible that a certain team could be interested in acquiring both players.

A playoff contending team that could use some extra depth could benefit greatly from bringing in these players. They are free agents this summer so it wouldn’t hurt the salary situation long-term.

Both players have had moments this season where they look like they could be a key piece on a championship contender. But they have both been inconsistent at times which is a reason the Grizzlies have struggled to win games.

Temple was much better to start the season headlined by his 30 point performance in the home opener against the Atlanta Hawks in which he was 10-11 from the field and 5-6 from three-point range.

On the season as a whole, he is averaging 9.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. He is shooting 43% overall and 35% from three-point range.

Temple did injure his shoulder in Friday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings and he did not return so we’ll have to monitor his status. It didn’t seem severe but if he is out even a week or so it could easily be enough for teams to look elsewhere for wing help.

Green has struggled at times but he has put up some performances that are a big reason why teams are so interested in him. He was a huge factor in a road win over the New Orleans Pelicans when he had 24 points and 8 rebounds on 9-12 shooting, including 3-4 from three-point range.

For the whole season, he is averaging 10.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He is doing that on 49% overall and a career-high 40% from three-point range.

If they could get a first-round pick for either of these two guys they should take it without even thinking about it. That likely isn’t possible, especially considering they’re free agents at season’s end.

We take a closer look at each of the three teams interested and how they could fit in with these teams and what they could get Memphis in return.
