The Memphis Grizzlies have made Marc Gasol is available via trade. While NBA Trade Rumors are focused on a different star we have teams interested in the Grizzlies big man.

The NBA trade rumors continue to swirl surrounding the Memphis Grizzlies. They don’t have the best players on the market but they have some that many teams are interested in. At least a couple of teams are interested in Marc Gasol.

Mike Conley and Gasol were put on the trading block and there hasn’t been a lot of interested teams making offers yet. Teams have been thinking internally up to this point and it seems as if at least two teams are interested in potentially making a deal.

The Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings are both rumored to be interested in acquiring the Grizzlies center despite having good young players at the position already on their roster.

While their interest may not be extremely high at the moment a lot can change before the Feb 7th NBA trade deadline. Both teams already have quality centers who are much younger and arguably better than Gasol.

Many more rumors will come out in the coming days and maybe then we’ll know for sure what these two teams are thinking going forward but if these two don’t end up making an offer for Gasol then some other team will.

Many other Grizzlies players have the potential to be traded as well. Garrett Temple and JaMychal Green are both popular candidates to be traded though Temple suffered a shoulder injury and will be out for a week or two so that could keep him from being traded.

With Gasol and Conley available then nearly everybody on this team will be as well to at least some degree. Jaren Jackson Jr. is 100% off the table in trade talks. No team would offer enough to be close to the Grizzlies asking price. A couple other guys such as Kyle Anderson and Dillon Brooks aren’t available either but if a team wanted them badly enough I wouldn’t call it impossible.

The rumors surrounding this team will continue to swirl but Gasol will continue to take the headlines at least until the Conley trade market develops. Here we take a closer look at the Pistons and Kings and why they have shown interest in Gasol and what that could mean going forward for both of those teams and the Grizzlies.
